The meaning of life and life plans of the young people in OHP

Tematem niniejszej pracy jest problematyka związana z poczuciem sensu życia oraz planami życiowymi młodzieży z Ochotniczych Hufców Pracy. W dzisiejszych czasach trudno jest młodym ludziom odnaleźć sens życia i zbudować swoje szczęście. Wymagania stawiane mniej zdolnej młodzieży, problemy zdrowotne, czy też brak zrozumienia i zainteresowania ze strony otoczenia powodują, że drastycznie spada ich poziom poczucia sensu życia. Nie otrzymują oni należytego wsparcia w domu, szkole, świetlicy, itp. Tylko rówieśnicy borykający się z podobnymi problemami rozumieją się wzajemnie. Łączą się w nieformalne grupy zepchnięte na margines, stanowiące często podwaliny środowiska przestępczego. Z przeprowadzonych przeze mnie badań wynika, że młodzież należąca do OHP charakteryzuje się niskim poziomem poczucia sensu życia. Środowisko rodzinne nie dało wystarczającego wsparcia i przed wstąpieniem do hufca młodzi ludzie nie snuli planów życiowych. Dopiero uczestnictwo w OHP otworzyło im okno na świat.Ochotnicze Hufce Pracy stwarzają młodzieży szansę na ukończenie szkoły, zdobycie zawodu lub przekwalifikowanie się, a później na znalezienie pracy. Gdyby nie poświęcenie i oddana praca wychowawców w OHP, zwiększałaby się liczba osób pozbawionych szansy na normalne życie. Trzeba więc zrozumienia i wsparcia dla tych ludzi, którzy potrafią zrozumieć problemy trudnej młodzieży. A młodzież doceni ten wysiłek na pewno- jeśli nie od razu, to po latach.

The subject of this dissertation is an issue connected with the meaning of life and life plans of young OHP members. Nowadays it is very hard for young people to find meaning of life and build their happiness. Requirements faced by less able young people, health problems, as well as lack of apprehension and preoccupation cause drastically fall the level of the meaning of life. They do not receive adequate support at home, school, community centers, etc. Only peers, especially those who have similar types of problems understand each other, forming a marginalized group of people, with big risk of social exclusion. Conducted research shows that young people who belong to the OHP has low level of sense of life. Family environment could not give enough support and before joining the organization, young people were not wondering about their life plans. Participation in the OHP created new opportunities for them and opened the window to the world.Voluntary Labour Corps offer these young people a chance to finish school or retraining and finally getting a job. OHP has special role in young people lives because a large group of them has no other help in creating and implementing their own life plans .Dedication and commitment of educators in the OHP are reducing very high number of deprived from a chance for a normal life. Therefore, people who can understand and help with problems of youth should be constantly supported. It is proven that young people will appreciate the effort if not immediately then for sure after a few years.
