O ile istnieje wiele opracowań na temat znaczenia akcesji Polski do Unii Europejskiej dla stosunków polsko-niemieckich, o tyle nadal potrzebujemy opracowań analizujących znaczenie Trójkąta Weimarskiego dla UE, a także dla relacji między Polską a Niemcami. W przyszłym roku minie 35 rocznica założenia tego formatu, sytuacja w Europie jest dynamiczna, dlatego warto przypomnieć przyczyny powstania Trójkąta Weimarskiego oraz określić, w jakim kierunku powinien się rozwijać. W niniejszym artykule analizujemy stan i możliwe kierunki ewolucji Trójkąta Weimarskiego.

While there are numerous studies on the significance of Poland’s accession to the European Union for Polish-German relations, there is still a need for research analyzing the importance of the Weimar Triangle for the EU as well as for Polish-German relations. Next year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of this format, and given the dynamic situation in Europe, it is worth recalling the reasons behind the creation of the Weimar Triangle and defining the direction in which it should develop. This article analyzes the current state and potential directions of evolution of the Weimar Triangle.
