The Life and Work of Barbara Hoff

Praca poświęcona jest polskiej projektantce mody Barbarze Hoff i jej twórczości publicystycznej oraz działalności w ramach jej własnej marki, Hofflandu. Dorobek Hoff zostaje poddany analizie przez pryzmat kontekstu politycznego i społecznego, w jakim projektantka tworzyła. Celem pracy było wykazanie na przykładzie Barbary Hoff ścisłych powiązań między modą, a sytuacją historyczną, w jakiej powstaje.

This thesis focuses on Barbara Hoff, a Polish fashion designer, her work in journalism and on her own fashion brand, Hoffland. Hoff’s creations are analyzed in the context of the political and social landscape in which they were created. The goal of this paper is to demonstrate, by using the example of Barbara Hoff, that fashion is closely connected to the historical environment in which it is created.
