Tematem pracy dyplomowej jest "Samotne rodzicielstwo w opinii różnych grup społecznych". Samotne rodzicielstwo rozumiane jako jeden z alternatywnych modelów rodziny, który wskutek liberalizacji poglądów oraz przemian rodziny tradycyjnej, stał się coraz bardziej powszechny. Praca dyplomowa nie skupia się tylko na samotnych matkach, ale również na samotnych ojcach, o których często się nie mówi, z racji tego, iż stanowią zdecydowaną mniejszość jeżeli chodzi o tworzenie rodzin monoparentalnych. Rozwijając temat rodzin niepełnych należy uwzględnić przyczyny ich powstania. Samotni rodzice wskutek świadomej i dobrowolnej decyzji mogą tworzyć rodziny monoparentalne, które są ich wyborem. Jednak są również rodzice, którzy samotnie wychowują swoje potomstwo z przyczyn losowych, czasem od nich niezależnych, co powoduje pewne trudności i problemy, z którymi muszą się zmierzyć. Jednak te trudności nie oznaczają, że samotni rodzice nie są w stanie stworzyć swoim dzieciom bezpiecznego środowiska, niezbędnego do prawidłowego rozwoju. Jeszcze kilkadziesiąt lat temu samotne rodzicielstwo było stygmatyzowane społecznie, było traktowane, jako niepowodzenie życiowe, jako odstępstwo od normy, którą była rodzina tradycyjna. W dzisiejszych czasach, na skutek wzrostu tolerancji i świadomości społecznej, samotni rodzice są coraz częściej traktowani na równi z rodzinami pełnymi. Badanie opinii społecznej na temat zjawiska samotnego rodzicielstwa pozwala określić w pewnym stopniu poziom stereotypizacji rodzin niepełnych przez różne grupy społeczne. Wyniki przeprowadzonych badań obrazują stosunek osób starszych, dla których rodzina tradycyjna jest podstawowym modelem rodziny, a także osób młodych, które wychowywały się w czasach większej tolerancji na to, co „nowe”, wobec samotnych rodziców. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników nasuwa się wniosek, iż wiek może być czynnikiem determinującym nasze poglądy. To, w jakich czasach wychowywał się podmiot oraz jakie wartości zostały mu przekazane, wpływa na to, jaki jest jego stosunek emocjonalno-oceniający do pewnych zjawisk, takich jak samotne rodzicielstwo, dlatego ważne jest uwzględnianie wieku osób badanych, gdyż może on pomóc w określeniu podłoża takiego myślenia.

The theme of this thesis is "Single Parenthood in the opinion of different social groups". Single parenthood understood as one of the alternative models of the family, which, as a result of the liberalization of views and the transformation of the traditional family, has become increasingly common. The thesis focuses not only on single mothers but also on single fathers, who are often not talked about, because they are a large minority when it comes to creating monoparental families. When developing the theme of single-parent families, account should be taken of the reasons for their creation. Single parents can, through an informed and voluntary decision can form monoparental families that are their choice. However, there are also parents who raise their offspring alone for random reasons, sometimes independent of them, which causes some difficulties and problems that they have to face. However, these difficulties do not mean that single parents are not able to create the safe environment necessary for their children to develop properly. Until a few decades ago, single parenthood was socially stigmatized, it was regarded as a life failure as a departure from the norm that was the traditional family. Nowadays, as a result of increased tolerance and public awareness, single parents are increasingly being treated on an equal footing with full families. The opinion study on the phenomenon of loneliness allows us to determine to some extent the level of stereotyping born incomplete by different social groups. The results of the study show the attitude of older people, for whom the traditional family is the basic model of the family, as well as young people who grew up in times of greater tolerance for what is "new", to single parents. On the basis of the results obtained, it is concluded that age can be a determining factor in our views. The time at which the subject was raised and what values were communicated to him influences his emotional-evaluative attitude to certain phenomena, such as single parenthood, so it is important to take into account the age of the subjects, as it can help determine the basis of such thinking.
