The natural color has become transparent to us. We usually pay attention to him only when he has something unusual.This work is an attempt to present the function of using color in movies. He discusses the history of movie color, using examples of the most important color systems, with an emphasis on Technicolor and Color grading and presents the functions of color in films: aesthetic, symbolic, associative and transformational. The work also includes a color analysis of the film "La La Land" (2016, dir. Damien Chazelle), which presents the use of the previously mentioned functions.
