The competence of parents whose children are at early primary educational stage

Niniejsza praca magisterska dotyczy kompetencji wychowawczych rodziców dzieci w edukacji wczesnoszkolnej. Celem pracy jest poznanie opinii rodziców na temat własnych kompetencji wychowawczych. W pracy posłużyłam się metodą sondażu diagnostycznego w ramach, której wykorzystałam techniki wywiadu i ankiety. Badania zostały przeprowadzone w środowisku wiejskim i miejskim, wśród rodziców i nauczycieli klas 1-3. Problematyka dotyczy źródeł wiedzy, z których korzystają rodzice, metod wychowania, problemów wychowawczych oraz reakcji rodziców na określone sytuacje i zachowania dzieci. Praca składa się z 4 rozdziałów. W pierwszy rozdziale wyjaśniłam pojęcia związane z pracą, omówiłam koncepcje, style i metod wychowania oraz przedstawiłam rodzinę jako środowisko opiekuńczo – wychowawcze. W drugim rozdziale wyjaśniłam pojęcie kompetencji, omówiłam etapy rozwoju dziecka oraz trudności wychowawcze. Trzeci rozdział zawiera metodologię badań własnych, a w ostatnim zawarłam analizę wyników badań empirycznych. Uzyskane wyniki badań wskazują, że poziom kompetencji wychowawczych rodziców nie jest na wysokim poziomie. Ankietowani chcą być „dobrymi rodzicami, ale brakuje im odpowiednich kompetencji.

This thesis concerns the competence of parents whose children are at early primary educational stage. The aim of this study is to learn from parents about their parenting competence. The diagnostics methods used in this heses are interview and questionnaires. The study was conducted in rural and Urban areas, among parents and teachers in grades 1-3. The issue concerns the sources of knowledge used by parents, the methods of education, behavioral problems and parents' reactions to specific situations and behavior of children. The work consists of four chapters. In the first chapter I explained the concepts used in this related, I discuss the concepts, styles and methods of education and presented the family as a upbringing and carrying unit. In the second chapter I explained the concept of competence, I discussed the stages of child development and educational problems. The third chapter contains my own research methodology, and in the last one included the analysis of the empirical research results. The obtained results indicate that the level of parents educational competence is not high. Respondents want to be "good parents,” but they lack appropriate competence.
