Lech Majewski, the author of films such as „Angelus”, and „Wojaczek”, is a director to whom cinema is only one of many possible means for creativity. Working with various media: directing operas, writing books, creating museum exhibitions, his diversity is less about skill, and more about the exchange of ideas and how they influence one another. „Rats of Manhattan”, „Gospel according to Harry” and „Bus to Golgota” is a trilogy, in which the first is a book, the second – a movie, and the last – a comic book. They share the scenery, visual symbolism, and similar approach to the subject, by means of inner references that would have been difficult to capture in any other form. The main purpose of this article is to look into this web of relationships and ponder on the consequences of such a vivid exchange of ideas to the artist’s ouvre and its’ audience.
