Chosen personality traits and their impact on the quality of homosexual relationships based on case study analysis

Niniejszej praca magisterska przedstawia analizę przypadków trzech par homoseksualnych, czyli sześciu osób. Celem pracy jest ukazanie osobistych historii życia osób homoseksualnych, ich wybranych cech osobowości, jakości komunikacji w związku oraz płci psychologicznej. Sformułowane przez autorkę problemy badawcze dotyczą tych obszarów. Praca podzielona jest na dwie części: Pierwsza - teoretyczna zawiera rozważania na temat homoseksualizmu i związków homoseksualnych, identyfikacji płciowej, jakości związku, komunikacji partnerów, obrazu siebie oraz problematyki lęku, agresji i konfliktów intrapsychicznych. Druga część pracy obejmuje rozdziały dotyczące metodologii badań i sposobu ich przeprowadzenia, opis sześciu przypadków osób homoseksualnych będących w związku wraz z analizą testów psychologicznych oraz podsumowanie badań. W badaniach posłużono się następującymi metodami: wywiad psychologiczny autorstwa własnego, Test Uzupełniania Zdań M. Sacks i L. Sidney, Test Przymiotnikowy ACL-37 H. G. Gougha i A. B. Heilbruna, Inwentarz Płci Psychologicznej A. Kuczyńskiej, Kwestionariusz Komunikacji Małżeńskiej M. Kazimierczak i M. Plopy oraz dyferencjał semantyczny Osgooda. Na podstawie informacji uzyskanych w badaniach można wyciągnąć dwa ogólne wnioski, stanowiące o podobieństwie badanych par:1.Wszyscy badani są osobami androgynicznymi. 2.Stosunek do matki jest bardziej pozytywny lub neutralny a stosunek do ojca bardziej konfliktowy.

The following thesis presents the study case analysis of three homosexual couples, and therefore - six people. The aim of the thesis is to present personal life stories of homosexual people, their chosen personality traits, the quality of communication in their private relationships and their psychological gender. The examined aspects, defined by the author of the thesis, are aimed at the above mentioned areas. The work is divided into two parts:The first one - theoretical - includes a consideration on homosexuality and homosexual relationships, gender identification, quality of the relationship, communication between the partners, self-image and the issue of fear, aggression and intrapsychological conflicts. The second part of the thesis consists of the chapters dedicated to the research methodology and the means of their conduction, the description of six study cases of homosexual people remaining in relationships together with the analysis of psychological tests and research summary.Following methods have been used during research: psychological interview of my own design, Sacks, M., Sidney,L. Test Sentence Completion Test, Gough, H. G., Heilbrun, A. B. The Adjective Check List, Kuczyńska, A., Psychological Sex Inventory, Kazimierczak, M., Plopy, M. Marital Communication Questionnaire and Osgood’s semantic differentiate . On the basis of the data received from the research ,two general statements may be concluded regarding similarities between the examined couples:1.Each of the examined people is an androgynic person.2.The attitude towards mother is more of a positive or a neutral one while the attitude towards father is more confrontational.
