Tasks of local self-government units in the framework of air protection in Poland and their execution on the example of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska municipality

Niniejsza praca magisterska podejmuje problematykę problemu zanieczyszczonego powietrza w Polsce. W początkowych rozdziałach pracy opisane zostały podstawowe prawne definicje związane z poruszanym tematem, a także ogólne informacje na temat źródeł i rodzajów zanieczyszczeń powietrza. W dalszej części pracy dokonano szczegółowego opisu instrumentów prawnych, w które wyposażone są jednostki samorządu terytorialnego. Instrumenty te mają spowodować poprawę jakości powietrza w dłuższej bądź krótszej perspektywie czasu. Z racji na wyjątkowo złą jakość powietrza, ostatni rozdział dotyczy bezpośrednio gminy Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. W ramach tego rozdziału omówione zostały podejmowane przez gminę Kalwaria Zebrzydowska działania oraz zadania w ramach ochrony powietrza.

This master's thesis is focused on the problem of polluted air in Poland. The initial chapters of the thesis describe the basic legal definitions related to the topic in question, as well as general information on sources and types of air pollution. The remainder of the work provides a detailed description of the legal instruments available to local government units. These instruments are intended to improve air quality in the long or short term. Due to the exceptionally poor air quality, the last chapter deals directly with the municipality of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. Within the framework of the last chapter, the activities and tasks undertaken by the Kalwaria Zebrzydowska commune in the field of air protection are discussed.
