International Investment Position of Poland in the years 2004-2020

Celem pracy jest analiza i interpretacja kształtowania się Międzynarodowej Pozycji Inwestycyjnej Polski w latach 2004-2020. Postawiono pytania badawcze dotyczące formowania Międzynarodowej Pozycji Inwestycyjnej, jej struktury oraz tendencji związanych z osiąganymi poziomami. Przedmiotem badania była ocena struktury aktywów i pasywów Międzynarodowej Pozycji Inwestycyjnej. Ponadto zwrócono uwagę na czynniki wpływające na przepływy inwestycji z zagranicą. Omówiono również zobowiązania wobec nierezydentów oraz kierunek ich zmian. Wykorzystując metodę analizy danych, przedstawiono statystyki Narodowego Banku Polskiego oraz zinterpretowano je z uwzględnieniem oficjalnych raportów, rozpatrujących przyczyny występujących zmian.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze and interpret the forming of International Investment Position of Poland in the years 2004-2020. Research questions were posed regarding the shaping of International Investment Posiotion, its structure and trends. The subject of the study was the evaluation of the structure of International Investment Posiotion’s assets and liabilities. Moreover, attention was paid to the factors influencing the flows of foreign investments. Liabilities towards non-residents and the direction of their changes were also discussed. Using the method of data analysis, the statistics of the National Bank of Poland were presented and interpreted taking into account official reports in which the reasons for the occured changes were considered.
