Zjawisko Czarnych Wdów jest emanacją wyjątkowo skomplikowanej sytuacji polityczno-społecznej na Kaukazie. Pojawiło się ono w konsekwencji wojen czeczeńsko-rosyjskich, a także prześladowań ludności po ich zakończeniu. Kobiety w zemście za śmierć mężów, synów i innych członków rodzin, dokonały na terenie Kaukazu i Rosji wielu krwawych zamachów samobójczych, podgrzewając znacząco temperaturę w i tak już kipiącym kaukaskim kotle. Sytuację komplikuje również wielokulturowość Kaukazu i radykalizm islamski zyskujący w regionie coraz większą ilość zwolenników gotowych do męczeńskiej śmierci w imię Allaha. W rozdziale pierwszym dokonano genezy obecnej sytuacji polityczno-społecznej na Kaukazie, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem specyfiki regionu, tożsamości ludności zamieszkującej ten region oraz historii islamu. W rozdziale drugim ukazano przemiany polityczno-kulturowe, które doprowadziły do obecnej, niestabilnej sytuacji, w tej części świata. W rozdziale trzecim uwagę poświęcono Czarnym Wdowom stanowiącym przykład kobiecego terroryzmu na Kaukazie. W rozdziale tym próbowano również udzielić odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy Czarne Wdowy można określić mianem ofiar sytuacji na Kaukazie, czy też mianem oprawców, którzy bezwzględnie mordują niewinne osoby, dokonując zamachów terrorystycznych. W pracy wykorzystano informacje zebrane w wielu publikacjach naukowych, dotyczących tematyki terroryzmu, islamu, Kaukazu i wojen czeczeńsko-rosyjskich. The Black Widow phenomenon is an emanation of an extremely complex political and social situation in the Caucasus. It appeared as a consequence of the Chechen-Russian wars, as well as the persecution of the population after conflicts ended. Women in revenge for the deaths of husbands, sons and other family members, committed many bloody suicide bombings in the Caucasus and Russia, heating up the temperature in already boiling Caucasus Cauldron. The situation is also complicated by multiculturalism of the Caucasus and Islamic radicalism gaining more and more supporters in the region, ready for martyrdom in the name of Allah.The first chapter presents the current political and social situation in the Caucasus, with particular emphasis on the specificity of the region, the identity of the population living in this region and the history of Islam. The second chapter shows the political and cultural transformations that led to the current unstable situation in this part of the world. In the third chapter, attention was given to the Black Widows, who are an example of female terrorism in the Caucasus. This chapter also attempts to answer the question of whether Black Widows can be described as victims of the situation in the Caucasus, or as perpetrators who ruthlessly murder innocent people by making terrorist attacks. The work uses information collected in many scientific publications on the subject of terrorism, Islam, the Caucasus and Chechen-Russian wars. A valuable source of information were also articles in mass-media concerning specific terrorist attacks carried out by Black Widows.
