The article discusses 17 biographical interviews with the Polish Armenians, which are kept in the Archive of the Oral History of the Foundation of Karta Centre (Warsaw). This evidence has been analysed in terms of phenomena connected with ethnic identification. The main task of the author was to capture and define contents which appear most frequently in the interviews and relate to the sense of distinctiveness of the oldest living generation of the Polish Armenians.
