Cultural barriers in management in international company. IKEA case study.

W pracy analizowano bariery kulturowe, które mogą stanąć na przeszkodzie w skutecznym zarządzaniu korporacją międzynarodową, praca stanowi próbę zwrócenia uwagi na specyfikę występujących zakłóceń. Opisano teorie kultury, źródła barier kulturowych oraz różnice kulturowe na przykładzie wybranych krajów. Rozumienie kontekstu kulturowego i świadomość możliwych komplikacji w zarządzaniu mogą okazać się kluczowe w powodzeniu inwestycji. Przykładem posłużyła Grupa IKEA.

In this work there is an analysis the cultural barriers that may stand in the way of effective management in an international corporation, there is an attempt to draw attention to the specificity of faults, which may occurred. In this thesis there are described theories of culture, cultural barriers sources and cultural differences- examples were selected from European countries. Understanding the cultural context and awareness of potential complications with management may be crucial in the success of the investment. IKEA Group is the perfect example.
