Repatriation as the return of displaced persons and their descendants to the homeland

Polityka Repatriacyjna zawsze odgrywała szczególnie ważną role w życiu politycznym każdego państwa. Na przestrzeni czasów, wskutek zmian kształtu granic państw oraz przemieszczeń demograficznych, miliony ludzi znalazło się poza granicami własnego kraju, co zmusiło państwa do wypracowania planu działań, mającego na celu jak najbardziej ułatwić i przyspieszyć powrót wysiedleńców i ich potomków do ojczyzny. Autor uznał za stosowne skupienie się na polityce repatriacyjnej Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej w trakcie XX oraz XXI wieków. Niniejsza praca ma na celu dokonania analizy przebiegu repatriacji Polaków od momentu uzyskania niepodległości w 1918 roku przez Polaków i do dnia dzisiejszego. W pracy zostaną poruszone takie kwestie jak uprawnienia socjalne repatriantów, ramy instytucjonalne, w tym kwestia nabycia obywatelstwa, procedura uznania za repatrianta. Jedną z ważnych kwestii polityki repatriacyjnej polega na stosunku władzy centralnej wobec problemu powrotu wysiedleńców. W tym celu w pracy zostanie przedstawiona i przeanalizowana w celu wskazania podobieństw i różnic pozycja II RP, PRL oraz III RP wobec polityki repatriacyjnej. Także w pracy zostały poruszone kwestie związane z procesem adaptacji repatriantów, takie jak znajomość języka polskiego przez repatriantów, trudności związane z poszukiwaniem pracy czy chociaż by poczucie wyobcowania wśród repatriantów przez brak akceptacji oraz uznania ich za Polaków przez rdzenną ludność Polski.

The repatriation policy has always played a particularly important role in the political life of each country. Over time, due to changes in the shape of the borders of states and demographic movements, millions of people found themselves outside their own country, which forced the state to develop an action plan aimed at how best to facilitate and accelerate the return of displaced persons and their descendants to their homeland. The author considers it appropriate to focus on a policy of repatriation Polish Republic during the XX and XXI centuries. This essey aims to analyze the course of the repatriation of Poles since independence in 1918 by the Poles and to nowadays. The essey will address issues such as social entitlements of repatriated persons, the institutional framework, including the issue of acquisition of citizenship, the procedure for recognition repatriate. One of the important policy issues of repatriation is based on the ratio of the central government towards the problem of the return of displaced persons. To this end, work will be presented and analyzed in order to identify similarities and differences in the position of the Second Polish Republic, Polish People's Republic and the Third Republic to repatriation policy. Also at work were discussed issues related to the process of adaptation of repatriates, such as knowledge of the Polish repatriates, the difficulties of finding a job, or even to a sense of alienation among the returnees by the lack of acceptance and recognition as Poles by indigenous people of Poland
