Demarchy - Friedrich Hayek proposition of government.

Przedmiotem pracy jest propozycja ustroju autorstwa Friedricha Augusta von Hayeka, zwana demarchią (demarchy). Hayek, będący jednym z najbardziej znanych obrońców wolności indywidualnej XX wieku, wskazuje na potrzebę gruntownej reformy współczesnej demokracji liberalnej tak, aby zniwelować niebezpieczeństwo degeneracji tego ustroju. Jego idea zasadza się na postulacie wprowadzenia podziału władz odseparowującego od siebie funkcje rządzenia oraz tworzenia prawa. W praktyce miałaby to być realizacja ideału rządów prawa (rule of law).

The subject of the thesis is a proposition of government by Friedrich August von Hayek called demarchy. Hayek, being one of the most renowned defenders of individual’s liberty in 20th century, indicated need for thorough reform of modern liberal democracy so the threat of its decay could be reduced. His idea relies on the postulate of introducing the separation of powers by setting governmental functions apart from rulemaking. In practice it would be a realisation of the ideal of the rule of law.
