The role of the Dąbrowa Górnicza City Youth Council in the development of the city in the years 2020-2023

W niniejszej pracy dotyczącej Młodzieżowej Rady Miasta Dąbrowa Górnicza podjęto próbę określenia roli rady w rozwoju gminy. Opisano role Młodzieżowych Rad w systemie samorządu terytorialnego w Polsce oraz określono czym jest rozwój lokalny i co go warunkuje. Przedstawiono również działania podejmowane przez Młodzieżową Radę gminy Dąbrowa Górnicza i ich wpływ na rozwój lokalny z perspektywy radnych. Celem pracy było określenie roli Młodzieżowej Rady w gminie Dąbrowa Górnicza w kontekście lokalnego rozwoju. Aby osiągnąć ten cel, w pierwszej kolejności przeprowadzono kwerendę literatury z zakresu nauk o zarządzaniu i jakości. Następnie zrealizowano badania własne, analizując opinie radnych Młodzieżowej Rady na temat ich działalności. Na podstawie przeprowadzonej ankiety udało się zidentyfikować funkcję jaką pełnia Młodzieżowa Rady w realizacji procesu rozwoju lokalnego. Wyniki badania mogą posłużyć jako podstawa do dalszych analiz i działań mających na celu wzmocnienie roli Młodzieżowej Rady w rozwoju lokalnym.

This bachelor thesis on the Youth Council of Dąbrowa Górnicza attempts to define the role of the council in the development of the municipality. It describes the roles of the Youth Councils in the system of local government in Poland and defines what local development is and what determines it. The activities undertaken by the Youth Council of the Dąbrowa Górnicza municipality and their impact on local development from the perspective of the councilors were also presented. The aim of the study was to identify the specificity of the role of the Youth Council in the municipality of Dąbrowa Górnicza in the context of local development. In order to achieve this goal, the opinions of the councilors of the Youth Council on their activities were analyzed. On the basis of the questionnaire, it was possible to identify the motivations of the councilors, the trends in the activities undertaken and the barriers they encountered in supporting local development in the municipality. As a result of the research process, recommendations were made to improve the effectiveness of council activities in the future. The results of the survey can serve as a basis for further analysis and action to strengthen the role of the Youth Council in local development
