Pandemia COVID-19 w latach 2020-2021, jako wydarzenie kryzysowe spowodowało uruchomienie licznych procesów nadawania znaczeń chorobie. Jedną z części procesu mityzacji tego zjawiska były liczne narracje spiskowe, ukazujące alternatywne teorie dotyczące genezy wirusa oraz nadające mu różne funkcje. Opierając się na materiale pochodzącym z analizy artykułów, portali społecznościowych, blogów itp. ukazuję część dyskursu o pandemii, który miał ogromny oddźwięk społeczny. Te potoczne wyjaśnienia traktuję jako element należący do sfery kultury wernakularnej.
COVID-19 pandemic in years 2020-2021, as a situation of great crisis, caused a great number of processes of giving meaning to illness. One of the parts of the process of mythisation of this phenomenon were different conspiracy narratives, revealing alternative theories about the origin of the virus, giving it different functions. Based on the analysis of articles, social networks, blogs etc. I’m showing a fragment of discourse about padnemic, which had an enormous popularity. I’m treating this common explanations as a part of vernacular culture.
