Project and implementation of a web app for climbers

Niniejsza praca prezentuje najważniejsze zagadnienia związane z tworzeniem aplikacji internetowej przy użyciu frameworka Symfony dla języka PHP. W części teoretycznej, wprowadzone i krótko scharakteryzowane są najważniejsze pojęcia potrzebne do zrozumienia działania aplikacji, a także opisane są wykorzystane narzędzia ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem kluczowego dla tej pracy frameworka Symfony. W części praktycznej, zaprezentowana jest aplikacja dla wspinaczy Climbee, będącą integralną częścią projektu dyplomowego wraz z omówieniem procesu jej powstawania oraz możliwości rozwoju. Praca napisana została w taki sposób, aby czytać ją mogły również osoby niezwiązane z branżą web developmentu.

The dissertation aims at presenting the most important aspects of developing a web application using Symfony framework for PHP. In the theoretical part, the crucial concepts required for the understanding of how the application operates are introduced and briefly discussed. The tools used during the app’s development, Symfony framework in particular, are also characterized in this section of the dissertation. The practical part of the thesis focuses on presenting the Climbee, app for climbers which is the diploma project accompanying this thesis, along with its development process and expansion opportunities. The thesis has been written in such a way, that it can be accessible by people unfamiliar with the web development industry.
