Jej efektem jest prezentacja różnych strategii tłumaczeniowych wybranych przez Elżbietę Tabakowską, które mogą służyć za podstawę do dalszych badań tego zagadnienia.

AbstractWordplay, which uses linguistic features in order to convey different meanings with similar or identical forms, usually presents challenges to translators. In order to reproduce puns in another language, various translational techniques may be used. An analysis of such cases provides interesting information from the field of translation studies and linguistics.Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is full of different types of challenges which a translator has to face. This is why, a translation of the said book has been chosen as the subject of analysis in the present thesis. It has resulted in the presentation of various translational strategies chosen by Elżbieta Tabakowska. They may serve as the basis for further studies.
