Serial murders and perpetraitors from the criminological perspective

W pracy magisterskiej zajmę się omówieniem zjawiska seryjnego morderstwa oraz skupię się na jego sprawcy. Pierwszy rozdział obejmować będzie zagadnienia ogólne, takie jak definicja, sylwetka i liczba aktywnych seryjnych morderców. W drugim rozdziale, na podstawie czterech różnych teorii, dokonam próby wyjaśnienia zjawiska. Naukowo wyróżnione teorie to: psychologiczna, psychiatryczna, socjologiczna i biomedyczna. Trzeci i zarazem ostatni rozdział poświęcę sprawcy seryjnego morderstwa. Przedstawię w nim typologię seryjnych morderców zróżnicowanych pod względem motywu działania.

In my master’s thesis I will discuss the subject of a serial murder and focus on the murderer himself. The first chapter will cover general issues, such as the definition and the portrait of a murderer, as well as the number of active serial murderers. In the second chapter, on the basis of four different theories, I will try to explain this phenomena. Scientifically highlighted are psychological, psychiatric, sociological and biomedical theories. The last one, third chapter, will be dedicated to the serial murderer. The typology of serial murderers will be presented in terms of different motives for a crime.
