How lean accounting supports lean management at Watlow Electric

Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie zagadnień teoretycznych dotyczących lean accounting, a także jej praktycznego wdrożenia szczupłej rachunkowości w przedsiębiorstwie Watlow Electric.W ramach pierwszego rozdziału opisano koncepcję lean management w procesach rachunkowości. Drugi rozdział ukazuje natomiast pozycję przedsiębiorstwa Toyota Motor Corporation jako pioniera koncepcji lean. Ostatni rozdział poświęcono praktycznemu zastosowaniu koncepcji lean accounting na przykładzie wybranego przedsiębiorstwa. Celem przeprowadzonego badania jest określenie w jaki sposób szczupła rachunkowość wspiera funkcjonowanie koncepcji lean management w przedsiębiorstwie Watlow Electric oraz czy swoją strukturą przypomina szczupłą rachunkowość stosowaną w Toyota Motors Corporation. Realizując cel badawczy w pracy wykorzystano następujące metody: analizę dokumentów, analizę baz danych zawartych w Internecie oraz wypowiedzi pracowników przedsiębiorstwa. Rezultatem badania jest określenie, w jaki sposób lean accounting wspiera funkcjonowanie koncepcji lean management w Watlow Electric oraz porównanie jej funkcjonowania z przedsiębiorstwem Toyota Motors Corporation.

The purpose of this paper is to present the theoretical issues of lean accounting, as well as its practical implementation of lean accounting in the company Watlow Electric.The first chapter describes the concept of lean management in accounting processes. While the second chapter shows the position of Toyota Motor Corporation as a pioneer of the lean concept. The last chapter is devoted to the practical application of the lean accounting concept on the example of a selected enterprise. The aim of the study is to determine how lean accounting supports the functioning of the lean management concept in Watlow Electric and whether its structure resembles the lean accounting applied in Toyota Motors Corporation. In realizing the research objective, the following methods were used in this study: document analysis, analysis of databases contained in the Internet, and statements of company employees. The result of the study is to determine how lean accounting supports the functioning of the lean management concept in Watlow Electric and to compare its functioning with the company Toyota Motors Corporation
