The premises and method of making changes to civil status records and transcription of foreign civil status documents

Przedmiotem niniejszej pracy jest omówienie zmian w aktach stanu cywilnego oraz transkrypcji zagranicznych dokumentów stanu cywilnego. Zagadnienie to unormowane zostało w ustawie z 28 października 2014 r. - Prawo o aktach stanu cywilnego. Praca została podzielona na trzy rozdziały. Pierwszy rozdział pracy został poświęcony ogólnej charakterystyce rejestracji stanu cywilnego jako zadania administracji. W drugim rozdziale omówione zostały możliwości zmian aktów stanu cywilnego. W poszczególnych podrozdziałach scharakteryzowano sprostowanie, uzupełnienie, unieważnienie oraz ustalenie treści aktu stanu cywilnego. Trzeci, ostatni rozdział traktuje o transkrypcji zagranicznych dokumentów stanu cywilnego. Rozważania zostały uzupełnione orzecznictwem polskich sądów powszechnych i administracyjnych oraz międzynarodowych trybunałów.

The subject of this work is to discuss changes in civil status records and transcription of foreign civil status documents. This issue is regulated in the Act of 28 October 2014 – The Civil Status Records Law. The work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter of the work is devoted to the general characteristics of civil status registration as an administrative task. The second chapter discusses the possibilities of changing civil status records. The subchapters describe the correction, supplementation, invalidation and determination of the content of a civil status record. The third and the last chapter deals with the transcription of foreign civil status documents. The considerations are supplemented with the case law of Polish common and administrative courts and international tribunals.
