Praca porusza temat przedstawienia postaci kobiecych w dwóch wielkich dziełach: Dekameronie Giovanniego Boccaccia i w adaptacji filmowej Pier Paolo Pasoliniego. Jest to studium interdyscyplinarne, ponieważ skupia się na związkach między różnymi dyscyplinami artystycznymi: literaturą i kinem. W pracy została poruszona problematyka adaptacji filmowej. W głównej części pracy została przedstawiona twórczość literacka Giovanniego Boccaccia oraz różnice występujące w przedstawieniu kobiet we wczesnej tradycji literackiej i w Dekameronie. Następnie zostaje przedstawiona twórczość filmowa Pier Paolo Pasoliniego oraz zostaje poddane analizie postaci kobiece występujące w jego filmowych produkcjach. Na koniec praca proponuje porównanie przedstawienia kobiet w Dekameronie Boccaccia i adaptacji filmowej Pasoliniego. Jako metodę badawczą stosuje się metodę porównawczą.

The thesis deals with the presentation of female figures in two great works: Decameron by Giovanni Boccaccio and in the film adaptation of Pier Paolo Pasolini. It is an interdisciplinary study as it focuses on the relationships between different artistic disciplines: literature and cinema. The thesis deals with the issue of film adaptation. The main part of the thesis presents the literary work of Giovanni Boccaccio and the differences between the representation of women in the early literary tradition and in the Decameron. Then, the cinematographic works of Pier Paolo Pasolini are presented and female characters appearing in his film productions are analyzed. Finally, the work proposes a comparison between the portrayal of women in Boccaccio's Decameron and Pasolini's film adaptation. The comparative method is used as the research method.

La tesi affronta il tema della rappresentazione di figure femminili in due grandi opere: il Decameron di Giovanni Boccaccio e il suo adattamento cinematografico di Pier Paolo Pasolini. È uno studio interdisciplinare in quanto si concentra sulle relazioni tra diverse discipline artistiche: letteratura e cinema. La tesi presenta la teoria dell'adattamento cinematografico. La parte principale del lavoro presenta la vita e l'opera di Giovanni Boccaccio e le differenze nella rappresentazione delle donne nella tradizione letteraria prima e nel Decameron. In seguito, vengono presentate le opere cinematografiche di Pier Paolo Pasolini e vengono analizzati i personaggi femminili delle sue produzioni cinematografiche. Infine, la tesi propone un confronto tra la rappresentazione delle donne nel Decameron di Boccaccio e il suo adattamento di Pasolini. Come metodo di ricerca viene utilizzato il metodo comparativo.
