Język walencki: zarys historyczny i aktualna sytuacja socjolingwistyczna (ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ludzi młodych)

Valencian Language: Historical Approximation and Sociolinguistic Reality (with Particular Reference to Young People)

Niniejsza praca jest poświęcona językowi walenckiemu, dialektowi katalońskiego używanego w regionie Wspólnota Walencka, jego historii, od rekonkwisty Walencji począwszy, oraz jego obecnej sytuacji socjolingwistycznej. Aby zanalizować aktualną sytuację języka walenckiego posłużono się ankietami zrealizowanym przez rząd regionu Walencji a także badaniami przeprowadzonymi przez innych autorów. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na znajomość i użycie walenckiego przez ludzi młodych. W związku z tym, przeanalizowano także obecność wspomnianego języka w środkach komunikacji masowej, czyli w telewizji, radiu i Internecie.

The following work is dedicated to the Valencian language, a dialect of Catalan spoken in the Valencian Community, its history from the reconquest of Valencia, and its current sociolinguistic reality. When it comes to the analysis of the current situation of the Valencian language, it's based on a survey undertaken by the Regional Government of Valencia and also on the investigations conducted by others authors. Particular emphasis is being placed on the knowledge and the social use of the Valencian language by young people. For this reason, this work also discusses the presence of this language in mass media, that is television, radio and Internet.

Este trabajo trata de la lengua valenciana, un dialecto del catalán hablado en la Comunidad Valenciana, su historia a partir de la reconquista de Valencia y su realidad sociolingüística actual. En cuanto al análisis de la situación actual del valenciano, se basa en las encuestas realizadas por la Generalitat Valenciana y también en las investigaciones realizadas por otros autores. Se presta especial atención al conocimiento y uso social del valenciano por los jóvenes. Por este motivo, se examina también la presencia de esta lengua en los medios de comunicación masiva, es decir, en televisión, radio y Internet.
