The forms of occupational activation of unemployed people over the age of 50 on the basic of the actions of the Poviat Labour Office in Chrzanów.

Tematem niniejszej pracy są formy aktywizacji zawodowej, w której uczestniczą osoby bezrobotne po 50 roku życia. Celem pracy jest ukazanie opinii osób biorących udział w aktywizacji zawodowej, a także Powiatowego Urzędu Pracy w Chrzanowie. Praca składa się z czterech rozdziałów. Pierwszy rozdział opisuje bezrobocie: jego pojęcie, rodzaje, przyczyny i skutki. Drugi rozdział omawia aktywizację zawodową i jej formy. W rozdziale trzecim przedstawiony jest rynek pracy powiatu chrzanowskiego, struktura bezrobocia tego powiatu ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem osób po 50 roku życia oraz krótka charakterystyka Powiatowego Urzędu Pracy w Chrzanowie. Ostatnia część pracy zawiera wyniki przeprowadzonych badań z osobami bezrobotnymi po 50 roku życia i przedstawicielem Powiatowego Urzędu Pracy oraz ich konfrontację. Na końcu umieszczone są wnioski wskazujące, iż większość osób po 50 roku życia jest zadowolona z udziału w aktywizacji zawodowej, ale nie ma pewności czy forma aktywizacji zawodowej, z której aktualnie korzysta pomoże efektywnie w znalezieniu zatrudnienia. Najlepiej ocenianymi formami aktywizacji zawodowej są: dodatek aktywizacyjny i wsparcie działalności gospodarczej, a najgorzej oceniane są roboty publiczne. Przedstawiono również rekomendacje dla Powiatowego Urzędu Pracy na podstawie preferencji badanych osób bezrobotnych po 50 roku życia.

The topic of this thesis is occupational activation of people over the age of 50. Its aim is to present opinions of the people who are actively engaged in the process of occupational activation as well as the stand of the Poviat Labour Office. The paper consists of four parts. The first chapter describes the phenomenon of unemployment: its definition, types, causes, and consequences. The second chapter deals with the process of occupational development and its forms. The third chapter describes the labour market of the Chrzanowski Poviat, the structure of its unemployment with particular focus on people over the age of 50, and gives a brief description of the Poviat Labour Office in Chrzanów. The final part of the thesis contains the results of the study conducted with participation of the unemployed over the age of 50 and the representative of the Poviat Labour Office and confronts the opinions of the two sides. The conclusions at the end of the thesis indicate that the majority of people over the age of 50 are satisfied with the process of occupational activation but at the same time are uncertain whether the form of occupational activation they pursue will be helpful in finding a job. The forms of occupational activation that enjoy the greatest popularity among the participants are additional unemployment prevention allowances and financial support of a business activity. Public works are least popular. The thesis presents also the recommendations for the Poviat Labour Office on the basis of the preferences indicated by the unemployed people over the age of 50.
