The Chulym Turkic languages: Middle Chulym, Lower Chulym and Küerik are still lesser known and rather poorly researched areas in Turkology. Traditionally, hunting was one of the most important aspects of the life of their speakers. As in the case with other peoples living in Siberia and obtaining food by hunting, some aspects concerning hunting are taboo in their culture. This paper presents euphemisms which are used in order to avoid taboo names of some wild animals: bear, sable, Siberian weasel, otter.pl
