Analiza tłumaczenia polskiego reportażu literackiego na francuski na przykładzie „L’Intimidée” Anny Bikont i Joanny Szczęsny z antologii „La vie est un reportage”

The analysis of the translation of Polish literary reportage into French. The case of ‘L’Intimidée’ of Anna Bikont and Joanna Szczęsny from the Anthology ‘La vie est un reportage’

Niniejsza praca stawia sobie za cel analizę tłumaczenia reportażu „L’Intimidée” Anny Bikont i Joanny Szczęsny przetłumaczonego prze Marylę Laurent, który jest częścią antologii „La vie est un reportage : anthologie du reportage polonais” autorstwa Margot Carlier. Według Itamara Ewan-Zohara tekst, przechodząc z pola literatury zdominowanej do dominującej, dostosowuje się do norm, które w niej panują. W rozprawie tej chcemy sprawdzić, czy twierdzenie to jest prawdziwe dla tłumaczenia polskiego reportażu na język francuski. W pierwszej części pracy znajduje się gatunku, jakim jest reportaż literacki, jego pozycja w polskim i francuskim polu literackim oraz obecność tłumaczeń polskiego reportażu we Francji. Następnie dokonamy analizy antologii i otaczającego ją paratekstu, a zwłaszcza wyboru tekstów, okładki i jej czwartej strony, wydawcy i kolekcji posługując się metodą zaproponowaną przez Danielle Risterucci-Roudnicky. Analizę tekstu reportażu rozpoczyna przyjrzenie się zmianie jego tytułu, na którą wpływ miało przejście tekstu z wydania prasowego do antologii. Badanie tłumaczenia stylu tekstu odbyło się w oparciu o tendencje deformacyjne Antoine’a Bermana, a elementów kulturowych o techniki tłumaczenia kulturemów wyszczególnione przez Krzysztofa Hejwowskiego. Do analizy błędów na poziomie sensu użyta została klasyfikacja opisana przez Pisarską et Tomaszkiewicz.

This study aims to examine the translation of polish reportage ‘L’Intimidée’ of Anna Bikont and Joanna Szczęsny into french by Maryla Laurent, which has been published in the anthology ‘La vie est un reportage : anthologie du reportage polonais’ edited by Margot Carlier. According to Itamar Ewan-Zohar, when the text is passing from dominated into dominant literary field, it complies with the norms of the latter. The objective of this dissertation is to verify whether this claim is true in case of the translation of polish literary reportage into french. It starts with the characteristic of the literary reportage, its position in polish and french literary fields and the presence of polish reportage in France is described. Then the anthology and its paratexte are described using the Danielle Risterucci-Roudnicky method of analyse in order to see how the text is being seen by the foreign reader. The main focus is put on the selection of contents, the publisher, the collection, the front cover and the note on the back cover. Subsequently the evaluation of the title of the reportage takes place since this element has been considerably modified when the text passed from the newspaper to the anthology. To examine the translation of the stylistic the author applies the system of textual deformation of Antoine Berman and to analyse the translation of culturemes the classification of technics proposed by Krzysztof Hejwowski. Next, the few errors in translation are described using errors typology of Pisarska et Tomaszkiewicz.

Ce travail se propose d’examiner la traduction du reportage « Intimidée » d’Anna Bikont et Joanna Szczęsny du polonais vers le francais, effectuée par Maryla Laurent et publiée dans l’anthologie La vie est un reportage : anthologie du reportage polonais sous la direction de Margot Carlier.Selon Itamar Ewan-Zohar, en passant du champ de la littérature dominée vers celui de la littérature dominante le texte traduit se conforme aux normes de ce dernier. L’objectif de ce mémoire est de vérifier si cette thèse est vraie pour la traduction d’un reportage polonais en français. Nous commençons par caractériser le genre du reportage littéraire, sa position dans les champs littéraires français et polonais et la présence des reportages polonais en France. Ensuite, nous nous penchons sur l’anthologie et son paratexte, notamment le contenu du volume, l’éditeur, la collection, la quatrième de couverture et la couverture, en suivant la méthode d’analyse de Danielle Risterucci-Roudnicky, en vue de démontrer comment le texte est présenté au lecteur français. Puis, nous analysons la traduction du texte de reportage « Intimidée » en commençant par expliquer l’adaptation de son titre à l’édition en volume. Pour l’analyse stylistique, nous appliquons la systématique de la déformation d’Antoine Berman et pour celle des éléments culturels la typologie des techniques de transfert des culturèmes proposée par Krzysztof Hejwowski. Pour parler de différences au niveau du sens, nous utilisons des types des erreurs d’incompréhension de Pisarska et Tomaszkiewicz.
