Inheritance of social status as a result of unequal access to education

Celem poniższej pracy jest przedstawienie procesu pogłębiającej się zależności między statusem społecznym rodziców, a przyszłą pozycją społeczną dziecka. Dzieci wychowujące się w mniej zamożnych rodzinach dziedziczą nierówności społeczne, które uniemożliwają im awans społeczny. Kluczem do przełamywania barier związanych z nierównościami społecznymi jest sprawiedliwy dostęp do edukacji. W procesie badawczym wykorzystane zostały metody teoretyczne, które potwierdzają występowanie zależności między nierównym dostępem do edukacji, a dziedziczeniem statusu społecznego rodziców.

The aim of the following work is to illustrate the process of the increasing relation-ship between the social status of the parents and the future social status of the child. Children growing up in less affluent families inherit social inequalities that prevent them from advancing socially. Fair access to education is the key to reducing social inequalities. As part of the research process, theoretical methods were used to con-firm the link between unequal access to education and the inheritance of the social status of parents.
