Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie pozycji ustrojowej Prezydenta RP jako najważniejszej osoby w państwie. Przedstawiono w niej genezę instytucji Prezydenta, wywodzącą się z dwudziestolecia międzywojennego, a także restytucję tej funkcji po 1989r. Analizie poddano głównie obowiązującą Konstytucję Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej z 2.04.1997r. oraz obowiązujące ustawy rozwijające konstytucyjne prerogatywy Prezydenta.
The M.A. thesis is devoted to the analysis place of the Polish President in the Polish legal system. It presents the genesis the institution of the President, related to the interwar period and President restitution after 1989. I mainly analyzed regulations contained in the Polish Constitution of 2 April 1997 and Polish Law, which contain amplification of President’s prerogatives.
