Bibliogr., streszcz. po ang. Alicja Wang podpisana na publikacji Alicja Fidowicz
The article is an attempt to reflect on contemporary Polish children and youth literature basing on the example of short novel Wszystko jest możliwe (Everything is Possible) by Magdalena Papuzińska in the context of disability studies. The author is focused on ableist metaphor and dehumanizing aspect of colloquial expressions which describe disabled people. The most important of them is comparing a disabled person to a plant. The example of narrator in the novel is also an excuse for deeper reflection on change of cultural reception of a particular type of plants (cacti) in European cultures.
