The penetration of the Przeworsk culture population in the zone of the Polish Carpathians in the early Roman period and beginnings of the younger Roman period.

Stan badań prowadzonych na terenie Karpat Polskich, wskazuje na obecność dwóch stref osadnictwa we wczesnym okresie wpływów rzymskich. Pierwsza z nich obejmowała wschodnią część Karpat Polskich. Na terenach dorzecza górnego Sanu, zajmowanych przez osadnictwo dackie, miało miejsce przemieszczenie grup ludności kultury przeworskiej w fazach B2b do C1a, które kierowały się w rejon wschodniej Słowacji, północnej Rumunii i Węgier. Odnalezione tam stanowiska kultury przeworskiej, które wraz ze znaleziskami nadsańskimi łączone są z przejściem plemion wandalskich nad północną granicę rzymskiej prowincji Dacji podczas Wojen Markomańskich, opisywanych przez rzymskiego historyka Kasjusza Diona. Nowych informacji o tym przemieszczeniu dostarczyły badania na stan. 1 w Pakoszówce, pow. sanocki, oraz cmentarzysku ludności kultury przeworskiej w Prusieku, stan. 25, pow. sanocki, które dostarczyło materiałów, datujących wspomniane przesunięcia na fazy B2b do C1a. Do końca okresu wczesnorzymskiego w zachodniej części Karpat Polskich funkcjonowało osadnictwo kultury puchowskiej koncentrujące się w Kotlinie Sądeckiej. Wyjątkowym znaleziskiem z tej strefy jest pochówek popielnicowy z fazy B2, odnaleziony na cmentarzysku w Chełmcu, stan 2, którego obrządek pogrzebowy nawiązuje do tradycji kultury przeworskiej.

The condition of research in the Polish Carpathians, points the two zones of settlement in the early Roman period. The first one included the eastern part of the Polish Carpathians. In the area of the upper basin of the San River, occupied by Dacian settlement, took place the movement of the population of the Przeworsk culture in phases B2b to C1a ,which follow in the region of eastern Slovakia, northern Romania and Hungary. Sites of przeworsk culture which was found there, together with findings from upper basin of San River, are connected with the arrival of Vandals tribes to the northern border of the Roman province of Dacia during Marcomanic Wars, described by the Roman historian Cassius Dio. Research on the site 1 in Pakoszówka, commune Sanok, and the cemetery of the population of the Przeworsk culture in Prusiek, site 25, commune Sanok, ,provided new information which dated this movement on phazes B2b to C1a. In the western part of the Polish Carpathians hace existed settlement of Púchov culture situated in the Sadecka Valley till the end of the early Roman period. An unusual discovery of this zone is the cremation burial, dated on phase B2, found in the cemetery in Chełmiec, site 2, which funeral rites are connected with the tradition of the przeworsk culture.
