The Law Code of Vinodol. The analysis of the early monument of the old Slavic literature.

Praca omawia jeden z najstarszych zabytków starego piśmiennictwa słowiańskiego. Składa się z trzech rozdziałów. Pierwszy opisuje historię regionu, na którym powstał dokument oraz historię samego dokumentu i badań prowadzonych przez naukowców. W kolejnym rozdziale zostały omówione zagadnienia związane z treścią dokumentu. Poruszane tematy dotyczą nazwy dokumentu, języka jakim został spisany, a także tego jaki status posiadała kobieta na Vinodolu w tamtym okresie. Inne tematy jakie zostały poruszone to prawa dotyczące Kościoła, prawdopodobny opis tego jak wyglądał przebieg procesu sądowego, charakterystyka kar jakie były przewidziane w dokumencie, a także urzędy jakie zostały wymienione w Statucie oraz omówienie prawa własności. Trzeci rozdział stanowi porównanie polskich tłumaczeń dokumentu oraz ich krótką analizę, która przedstawia ich słabe i mocne strony. W pracy została wykorzystana polska i zagraniczna literatura. Głównym źródłem stanowiącym podstawę do omówienia tematu było tłumaczenie dokumentu na współczesny język chorwacki autorstwa Lujo Margeticia. Natomiast w ostatnim rozdziale analizie porównawczej poddane zostały dwa polskie tłumaczenia Vinodolskiego Zakonu - Aleksandra Maciejowskiego i Stanisława Borowskiego.

The thesis analyses one of the oldest monuments of the Slavic literature. This thesis consists of three chapters. The first one describes the history of the document and the history of the region where it was created as well as the researche that have been conducted by the scientists.In the next chapter the author raises some topics related to the content of the document e.g. its name, the language in which the document was written, the status of women in Vinodol at that time. Other topics that are mentioned are the law related to Church, the description of the probable course of the trial, punishments, the authorities and the ownership right. The third chapter is a comparision of two Polish translations of the Law Code of Vinodol. The author analyses them and briefly presents strenghts and weakness of the both studies. The main source for the analysis is the translation of the Law Code of Vinodol into the modern Croatian language by Lujo Margetić. In the last chapter the basis for the comparative analysis are two Polish translations by Aleksander Maciejowski and Stanisław Borowski.
