Książka stanowi kompendium wiedzy nie tylko o organizacji i zarządzaniu audytem, lecz także o jego problemach i sposobach ich rozwiązywania. W zarządzaniu organizacją, niezależnie od struktury własnościowej i jej rozmiarów, audyt odgrywa istotną rolę. Pozwala na zapobieżenie efektowi „śnieżnej kuli”, a zatem narastaniu błędów, które początkowo niewielkie po skumulowaniu wpływają destrukcyjnie na organizację. Publikacja zawiera analizę problematyki planowania audytu i zarządzania zespołami audytowymi. W badaniach wykorzystano metody i techniki właściwe dla dyscypliny nauk o zarządzaniu i jakości. Prowadzono je w ramach strategii pluralizmu metodologicznego. Autor przedstawia m.in następujące zagadnienia: • funkcje audytu, • problematykę jego planowania i organizowania, • sposoby formułowania i prezentowania ustaleń audytu, • założenia audytu zarządzania wiedzą i audytu efektywności organizacji oraz poszczególnych funkcji zarządzania organizacją. Podjęto również próbę identyfikacji problemu audytu związanego m.in z funkcjonowaniem organizacji w nieprzewidywalnym otoczeniu. Na podstawie badań, zgodnie z założeniem autora, zidentyfikowano problemy badawcze wymagające rozwiązania w kolejnych badaniach naukowych. Pośrednim celem badań była systematyzacja aparatu pojęciowego.

The book contains a compendium of knowledge about the organisation and management of audit and how to solve audit problems. In managing the organisation, regardless of the ownership structure and size, audit plays an important role. It allows to prevent the effect of the "snowball", and therefore the accumulation of errors, which initially small after cumulating, have a destructive effect on the organisation. The publication contains an analysis of the issues of audit planning and management of audit teams. The research used methods and techniques appropriate to the discipline of management sciences. The study was conducted within the framework of the methodological pluralism strategy. The author presents, among others, the following topics: • audit functions, • issues related to audit planning and organisation, • ways of formulating and presenting audit findings, • assumptions of the knowledge management audit and the audit of the organisation's effectiveness and the individual functions of organisation management. An attempt made to identify the problems of audit the organisation's functioning in an unpredictable environment. Based on the research, in line with the author's assumption, research problems have been identified that need to be solved in further research. The indirect aim of the research was the systematisation of the conceptual apparatus.
