Functionality of space in the Jagiellonian Library : user survey

Przedmiotem komunikatu jest prezentacja wyników badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych w Bibliotece Jagiellońskiej w celu analizy potrzeb użytkowników w zakresie przestrzeni bibliotecznej. Kwestionariusz zawierał pytania zamknięte i otwarte dotyczące między innymi stref ciszy, przestrzeni do pracy indywidualnej i grupowej, a także dostępności różnych udogodnień. Wyniki wskazują na konieczność poprawy wyposażenia oraz przestrzeni do odpoczynku i pracy w grupach. Użytkownicy sugerowali też wydłużenie godzin otwarcia, zwiększenie liczby stref relaksu i udoskonalenie systemu oznakowania w bibliotece

The subject of this communication is an analysis of a survey conducted at the Jagiellonian Library to assess users’ needs regarding library spaces. The survey, which included both closed and open-ended questions, addressed issues such as the need for designated quiet zones, spaces for individual and group work, and the availability of various amenities. The results highlighted the need for improved facilities, including furniture, technology, and areas for relaxation and group work. Users also suggested extending opening hours, increasing the number of relaxation zones, and amending the signage system within the library.
