The internal structure of the Slavic province - Václav Pankovčín's and Daniel Odija's prose.

Tematem pracy jest przedstawienie zagadnienia prowincji poprzez porównanie elementów charakteryzujących prowincjonalność, zaprezentowanych w utworach "Marakéš" Václava Pankovčína oraz "Tartak" Daniela Odiji. W niniejszej pracy termin prowincjonalność jest rozumiany jako zespół cech i zachowań, składających się na mentalność ludzi, zamieszkałych w oddaleniu od centrum. Praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów. Pierwszy z nich stanowi przegląd teorii związanych z pojęciem prowincji. Drugi rozdział jest próbą przedstawienia obrazu tożsamości prowincjonalnej. W trzecim rozdziale poruszony zostaje problem relacji pomiędzy prowincją a centrum.

The main aim of this study is to present the issue of the province by comparing the elements, which describe the provinciality, shown in the works "Marakéš" by Václav Pankovčín and "Tartak" by Daniel Odija. In this work the term provincialism is understood as a set of traits and behaviors that make up the mentality of the people living at a distance from the center. The work consists of three chapters. The first one provides an overview of theories related to the concept of the province. The second chapter is an attempt to present a picture of provincial identity. The third chapter shows the problem of relations between the province and the center.
