Patient care of early complications after implantation of a pacemaker

A pacemaker is a small device attached to the heart muscle by electrodes. The main purpose of the heart pacemaker is to maintain an adequate heart rate or to synchronize an action of atria and ventricles by delivering electrical impulses according to parameters given. The dissertation consists of two parts. One part describes the clinical aspects of the pacemaker’s implantation, the second part focuses on nursing problems while taking care of the patient, who had undergone operation of implanting cardiac pacemaker on the basis of Dorothy Orem nursing mode.

Rozrusznik serca jest małym urządzeniem połączonym za pomocą jednej lub dwóch elektrod z mięśniem sercowym. Zadaniem kardiostymulatora serca jest utrzymanie właściwego rytmu serca oraz synchronizowanie pracy przedsionków i komór poprzez wysyłanie impulsów elektrycznych zgodnie z zadanymi parametrami.Praca złożona jest z dwóch podstawowych rozdziałów, z których jeden opisuje kliniczne aspekty implantacji rozrusznika serca, a drugi opisuje problemy pielęgnacyjne pacjenta po zabiegu wszczepienia stymulatora serca na podstawie modelu opieki Dorothy Orem.
