Hate: semantics and pragmatics

Celem pracy jest zaproponowanie kognitywnej definicji "hejtu" i odpowiedź na pytanie, w jakich kolokacjach występuje to słowo. Materiał zgromadziłam na podstawie wyszukiwarki Google oraz Narodowego Korpusu Języka Polskiego. Zebrałam kolokacje ze słowem "hejt" ("hate"), a także z wyrazami pokrewnymi słowotwórczo (były to: "hejtować, hejcić, zhejtować, zhejcić, zahejtować, hejter, hejterka, hejters, hejterski, hejtowy, hejterada, hejterstwo"). W ten sposób powstał obraz pojęcia "hejt", który zestawiłam z definicjami występującymi aktualnie w słownikach. Na koniec porównane zostały słownikowe i kognitywne definicje "hejtu" oraz "nienawiści". Słowa te różnią się semantycznie.

The aim of the work is to propose a cognitive definition of "hate" and the answer to the question in which collocations this word appears. I collected the material based on the Google search engine and the Polish National Corpus. I collected collocations with the word "hate", as well as word-forming related words (they were: "hejtować, hejcić, zhejtować, zhejcić, zahejtować, hejter, hejterka, hejters, hejterski, hejtowy, hejterada, hejterstwo"). In this way, the image of the term "hate" was created, which I combined with the definitions that currently appear in dictionaries. Finally, the dictionary and cognitive definitions of "hate" and "nienawiść" have been compared. These words differ semantically.
