Analysis of the Pension Security System in Poland in the Context of Demographic Changes

Celem niniejszej pracy dyplomowej jest ocena systemu zabezpieczeń emerytalno-rentowych w Polsce w kontekście zmian struktury demograficznej do roku 2050. W pracy przedstawiono obecną sytuację demograficzną w Polsce oraz obciążenia wynikające z publicznego finansowania systemu emerytalno-rentowego w stosunku do PKB.. Jednocześnie na podstawie pozyskanych analiz dokonano prognozy na rok 2050 z uwzględnieniem różnych, potencjalnych scenariuszy na w zakresie wieku emerytalnego, wysokości świadczeń emerytalno-rentowych, potencjalnej imigracji oraz udziału kosztów świadczeń w PKB kraju. W ramach analizy wykorzystano dane statystyczne oraz prognozy pochodzące w szczególności z Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego, Zakładu Ubezpieczeń Społecznych oraz Eurostatu. Wyniki analizy obrazują w jakiej sytuacji znajdować się może struktura demograficzna oraz finanse publiczne Polski w 2050 roku w zależności od przyjętych, możliwych założeń.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to conduct an analysis of the pension and social security system in Poland in the context of demographic changes up to the year 2050. The paper presents the current demographic situation in Poland and the burdens resulting from public funding of the pension and social security system in relation to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Simultaneously, based on the acquired analyses, it provides a forecast for the year 2050 considering various potential scenarios related to retirement age, pension and social security benefit levels, potential immigration, and the share of benefit costs in the country's GDP. Statistical data and forecasts, particularly from the Central Statistical Office, the Social Insurance Institution, and Eurostat, will be utilized for the analysis. The results of the analysis will depict the potential demographic structure and public finances of Poland in 2050 based on the adopted assumptions.
