Galician–Volhynian Rus in the politics of the Piast princes in the 13th century

Niniejsza praca przedstawia zagadnienia związane z relacjami książąt piastowskich z Rusią Halicko-Włodzimierską w XIII wieku. Składa się z pięciu rozdziałów. Pierwszy rozdział poświęcony jest kontaktom Romana Mścisławowicza z Kazimierzem Sprawiedliwym i jego synami na przełomie XII i XIII wieku. Drugi rozdział skupia się na polityce ekspansji Leszka Białego prowadzonej na Rusi w latach 1205-1227. Trzeci rozdział przedstawia relacje Konrada mazowieckiego z ruskimi książętami i ich udział w walkach o Kraków do 1247 roku. Czwarty rozdział obejmuje lata 1247-1278 i poświęcony jest postrzeganiu Romanowiczów w polityce międzynarodowej Siemowita I i Bolesława Wstydliwego. Piąty rozdział skupia się na udziale Lwa Daniłowicza w walkach wewnętrznych na ziemiach polskich w latach 1280-1291.

This work presents issues related to the relations of the Piast princes with Halicko-Vlodzimierska Rus in the 13th century. It consists of five chapters. The first chapter is devoted to Roman Mstislavovich's contacts with Casimir the Just and his sons at the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries. The second chapter focuses on Leszek the White's policy of expansion carried out in Ruthenia in 1205-1227. The third chapter presents the relations of Conrad of Mazovia with the Ruthenian princes and their participation in the battles for Cracow until 1247. The fourth chapter covers the years 1247-1278 and is devoted to the perception of the Romanovichs in the international politics of Siemowit I and Boleslaw the Chaste. The fifth chapter focuses on Lev Danilovich's participation in internal struggles in the Polish lands in 1280-1291.
