The canon of beauty of the female body in painting works and contemporary poetry.

Celem autorki było zaprezentowanie zmieniającego się kanonu piękna kobiecego ciała. Analizie i interpretacji zostały poddane dzieła pięciu artystów oraz zainspirowane nimi utwory poetyckie, które udowodniły, że nie istnieje w sztuce stały kanon kreacji ciała kobiety. Część interpretacyjno-analityczna została wykonana w sposób tradycyjny, a więc opisowy oraz graficzny, nawiązujący do nowoczesnej dydaktyki brytyjskiej. Praca adresowana jest do nauczycieli języka polskiego w szkołach średnich, którzy szukają inspiracji do pracy z tekstem i obrazem jednocześnie oraz do uczniów pragnących wzbogacić swoją wiedzę.

The aim of the author is to present the changing canon of beauty of the female body. The subjects of analysis and interpretation in this thesis are the painting works by five different artists as well as the poems inspired by these works. The analysed painting works and poems have proved that there is no such thing as the fixed canon of the female body’s creation. The way the interpretative and analytical part of the thesis has been conducted is traditional, thus descriptive and graphic as well as referring to the modern British methodology. The thesis is addressed not only to the teachers of Polish in secondary schools who seek inspiration while working with a text and a painting simultaneously, but also to the students who want to enrich their knowledge.
