Poles' trust in institutions and public services in the field of public safety

Celem pracy jest przedstawienie, na jakim poziomie usytuowane jest zaufanie Polaków do instytucji i służb publicznych na poziomie lokalnym. Autorka bada omawiane zagadnienie, zgłębiając poglądy i opinie mieszkańców gminy Borzęcin o poszczególnych instytucjach. Przyjmuje, że zjawisko zaufania występuje w pewnym stopniu do określonych instytucji i służb publicznych. Do niektórych wzrasta, do innych – maleje. Omawiane badania mają na celu skonkretyzowanie problemu i ujawnienie tendencji zachodzących na przestrzeni lat. W interpretacji materiału badawczego pomocne są komunikaty z Centrum badania Opinii Społecznej. Rozważania prowadzą do następujących wniosków. Instytucje, mimowolnie zostały podzielone na dwie grupy: polityczną oraz nie – polityczną. Do tej pierwszej poziom ogólnego zaufania społecznego spada, a do drugiej wzrasta.

The aim of the work is to present the level of trust Poles in institutions and public services as the local level. The author examines the discussed issue, exploring the views and opinions of the inhabitants of the Borzęcin commune about individual institutions. It assumes that the phenomenon of trust occurs to some extent in specific institutions and public services. For some it increases, for others it decreases. The discussed research is aimed at specifying the problem and revealing tendencies occurring over years. Messages from the Public Opinion Research Center are helpful in interpreting the research material. The considerations lead to the following conclusions. Institutions were involuntarily divided into two groups: political and non – political. The level of general social trust decreases towards the former and increases towards the latter.
