Transformation of the image of female characters in TV series on the example of TV series Sex and the City and Girls

Praca licencjacka dotycząca przemiany wizerunku kobiecych bohaterek w serialach na przykładzie seriali "Seks w wielkim mieście" i "Dziewczyny". Poruszane są w niej kwestie przemiany wizerunku kobiet w aspektach cielesności, relacji bohaterek z mężczyznami, przyjaźni czy seksualności. Dodatkowo, pracę uzupełnia teoretyczny wstęp dotyczący mediów, historii serialu telewizyjnego oraz ruchów feministycznych. Pracę podsumowuje próba wyszczególnienia cech łączących obrazy bohaterek we wspomnianych serialach, a także zauważenie zmian i przedstawienie ich genezy w sposobach ukazania kobiety w serialu telewizyjnym.

The Bachelor thesis on the transformation of the image of female characters in TV series on the example of TV series "Sex and the City" and "Girls". The paper explores the transformation of the image of women in aspects of physicality, relationships with men, friendship and sexuality. In addition, the work is complemented by a theoretical introduction on media, history of television series, and feminist movements. The work is summarized by an attempt to specify the characteristics of the merging images on said characters in the series and also a notice of the changes and their origins in the ways women are presented in the television series.
