THE PROCESS OF ESTIMATING THE VALUE OF THE ENTERPRISE ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE VALUATION OF THE COMPANY LPP S.A. 2019-2021

Celem niniejszej pracy jest zaprezentowanie procesu szacowania wartości spółki LPP S.A. i porównanie wyników z wyceną rynkową. W części teoretycznej opisano zasady funkcjonowania Giełdy Papierów Wartościowych w Warszawie oraz jej strukturę. Przedstawiono również główne metody wyceny spółek oraz reguły ich sporządzania. W części empirycznej natomiast zaprezentowano proces wyceny badanej spółki w latach 2019-2021. Wyniki badań, których głównym celem było oszacowanie wartości spółki przy wykorzystaniu różnych metod i skonfrontowanie ich rezultatów z wyceną rynkową oraz zweryfikowanie wpływu pandemii COVID-19 na zmiany wartości badanej spółki. Podmiotami wybranymi do badań zostały spółka LPP S.A., oraz spółki CCC S.A., H&M Hennes & Mauritz AB, Industria de Diseno Textil S.A., Adidas AG, które posłużyły jako odniesienie w badaniu porównawczym spółki LPP S.A. Proces badawczy zrealizowano przy zastosowaniu następujących metod i narzędzi badawczych: wycena przy wykorzystaniu metody dochodowej oraz wycena przy wykorzystaniu metody porównawczej. Jako główne źródła danych empirycznych wykorzystano dane finansowe badanych spółek giełdowych. Na podstawie wyników przeprowadzonych badań stwierdzono, że pandemia COVID-19 miała znaczący wpływ na wartość badanej spółki, a zastosowane metody potwierdziły zmiany wartości odzwierciedlone w wycenie rynkowej.

The aim of this study is to present the process of estimating the value of LPP S.A. and to compare the results with the market valuation. The theoretical part describes the principles of the Warsaw Stock Exchange and its structure. The main methods of company valuation and the rules of their preparation are also presented. The empirical part, on the other hand, presents the process of company valuation in the years 2019-2021. The results of the research, the main objective of which was to estimate the value of the company using various methods and confronting their results with the market valuation, and to verify the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on changes in the value of the studied company. The entities selected for the research were LPP S.A., and the companies CCC S.A., H&M Hennes & Mauritz AB, Industria de Diseno Textil S.A., Adidas AG , which served as a reference in the comparative study of LPP S.A. The research process was carried out using the following research methods and tools: valuation using the income method, and valuation using the comparative method. The financial data of the listed companies under study were used as the main sources of empirical data. Based on the results of the research, it was concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the value of the studied company, and the methods used confirmed the value changes reflected in the market valuation.
