Japanese oral art dying out? Traditional Rakugo in modern Japan

W pracy została przedstawiona teza, że zarówno w Japonii jak i na świecie, niewiele osób pamięta o Rakugo. Lata świetności Rakugo minęły i ciężko jest je wpisać we współczesne czasy, ponieważ przez ciągły rozwój technologii, dla tradycyjnych sztuk powoli brakuje miejsca i odchodzą one w zapomnienie. Praca przedstawi przeciwny stosunek: że pomimo świetności technologii, sztuka Rakugo nie wymiera, a wręcz przeciwnie, przechodzi swój renesans i stara się utrzymać, mimo że nie do końca wpisuje się już w aktualną „modę”. Praca została napisana w oparciu o książki i artykuły naukowe w języku polskim, angielskim, niemieckim i japońskim, strony internetowe wyjaśniające poszczególne terminy i wątki oraz filmy wystąpień Rakugo w języku japońskim. Zostały również częściowo użyte opowieści Rakugo przetłumaczone na język polski z języka japońskiego. Metodologia użyta w tej pracy to zarówno hermeneutyczna metoda analizy tekstu, jak i połączenie tekstu z szerszym spektrum kultury japońskiej zgodnie z myślą rozwiniętą przez Gadamera.

The thesis presented that in Japan and around the world, not many people remember Rakugo. The years of Rakugo's glory are over and it's difficult to fit them into modern times. Due to the constant development of technology, traditional arts are slowly losing space and are falling into oblivion. The thesis will present the opposite attitude: that despite the splendor of technology, Rakugo art is not dying out, on the contrary, it's undergoing its renaissance and trying to maintain itself, even though it no longer entirely fits into the current "fashion". The work was written based on books and scientific articles in Polish, English, German, and Japanese, websites explaining particular terms and threads, and videos of Rakugo's speeches in Japanese. Rakugo's stories translated into Polish from Japanese were also partially used. The methodology used in this work is both a hermeneutic method of text analysis and a connection of the text with a broader spectrum of Japanese culture in accordance with the thought developed by Gadamer.
