Consolidation of stock exchange markets and position of the Warsaw Stock Exchange

Głównym celem pracy jest pokazanie, w jaki sposób nowe tendencje na rynku giełdowym, a w szczególności konsolidacja giełd wpływa na pozycję Warszawskiej Giełdy Papierów Wartościowych. Praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów, dwóch teoretycznych i jednego empirycznego. Pierwszy rozdział zawiera podstawowe pojęcia dotyczące rynku finansowego, jego podziału oraz wyjaśnia specyfikę giełdy oraz opisuje jej funkcje. W drugim rozdziale opisano historię rozwoju giełd, wyjaśniono kwestie regulacji, a także szczegółowo omówiono nowe tendencje zachodzące na rynku giełdowym. W trzecim rozdziale przedstawiono przykłady konsolidacji giełd papierów wartościowych i poddano analizie strategię rozwoju Warszawskiej Giełdy Papierów Wartościowych.

The main aim of this work is to show how new trends in the stock market, in particular the consolidation of stock exchanges influences the position of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The thesis consists of three chapters, two theoretical and one empirical. The first chapter contains the basic concepts of financial market, its division and explains the specific nature of the exchange and describes its features. The second chapter describes the history of the development of stock exchange markets, explained the issues of regulation, and explained in detail the new trends taking place in the stock exchange market. The third chapter presents examples of consolidation of stock exchanges and analyzed the development strategy of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
