Children's philosophy of values and support for the family : the example of research among children and adolescents

Wartości są istotnym elementem tworzącym osobowość człowieka, obejmują i normują wszystkie wymiary jego życia. Ich jakość i spójność z wartościami realizowanymi przez istotne dla dziecka grupy odniesienia mają decydujący wpływ na poczucie bycia szczęśliwym i spełnionym. Realizowanie wartości przyjętych przez otoczenie pozwala bowiem przeżywać w pozytywny sposób doświadczenie wspólnoty, daje poczucie bezpieczeństwa, sensu życia oraz podmiotowości. Warto zatem zadać pytanie czy we współczesnym świecie wartości mają wciąż charakter uniwersalny czy też stanowią anachronizm dla dzieci i młodzieży? W jakim stopniu filozofia wartości (zwłaszcza osobistych) może być kluczem do zrozumienia współczesnego małego człowieka oraz na ile ta wiedza może przyczynić się do lepszego zrozumienia zachowań dzieci przez dorosłych?

Values play an important role in constituting a personality of some person. Their quality and consistency with those realized by child's reference groups have great influence on the sense of happiness and fulfillment of a young person. Values being accepted by others can be implemented along with the positive experience of collectivity, the sense of security, the sense of life as well as subjectivity. The article focuses on questions about universal values and their meaning for children and adolescents in the contemporary world. It also presents the analysis on the philosophy of values and the extent to which they can become the key to understanding children's behavior.
