This article is devoted to the concept of the genesis romantic drama main character on the basis of Samuel Zborowski by Juliusz Słowacki. Its purpose is to show the influences of the poet’s philosophy of Genesis onto shaping the fates of the drama’s characters and to find the answer connected to their ontological status. The first part of the work is about the assumptions of the philosophy of Genesis , while the next reveals its participation in the structure of drama. The essential part of the article is the characteristics of the main characters of the drama. The analysis, particularly of the creation of individual characters, allows general laws governing the world depicted in Samuel Zborowski to be grabbed.
