In this paper an attempt has been made to study Dawid Jabłoński’s translation of Torgny Lindgren’s novel "Hummelhonung" from Swedish into Polish. The translation has been analyzed on the semantic and stylistic level. The Polish translation contains several additions, omissions and semantic shifts. The global strategy used is domestication, reducing the strangeness towards the cultural elements. Culture-specific items have been either omitted or domesticated. The analysis has shown that the applied translation solutions often lead to translation errors and result in loss of some aspects of style and meaning.
