Mediterranean paths of the poet from Kroczewo. A study of the works of Józef Czarnowski

Głównym celem pracy jest upamiętnienie Józefa Czarnowskiego oraz jego literackiego dorobku. Praca stanowi próbę umiejscowienia twórczości poety z Kroczewa na tle Młodej Polski. Podjęta zostanie również refleksja nad formą i znaczeniem antycznych reminiscencji i mitologicznych odwołań. W pierwszej części omówione zostaną utwory, których motywem przewodnim jest wędrówka. W drugiej części praca skupi się na analizie wierszy, w których poeta przywołuje postaci mitologiczne i historyczne. W ostatnim rozdziale omówiony zostanie poemat dramatyczny "Prometeusz" opublikowany w czasopiśmie "Sfinks" w 1916 roku. Uzupełnieniem pracy licencjackiej jest aneks zawierający utwory i tłumaczenia zawarte w "Poezjach".

The main purpose of the thesis is to commemorate Józef Czarnowski and his literary output. The work is an attempt to compare the work of the poet from Kroczewo with modernist tendencies. A reflection on the form and meaning of ancient reminiscences and mythological references will also be undertaken. The first part will discuss works whose main theme is wandering. In the second, the thesis will focus on the analysis of poems in which the poet evokes mythological and historical figures. The final section will discuss the dramatic poem "Prometheus," published in the magazine "Sfinks" in 1916. Completing the bachelor's thesis is an appendix containing the works and translations included in "Poezje"
