Artistic education of gymnasium pupils by example of Gimnazjum nr 16 im. Króla Stefana Batorego in Kraków

Celem pracy jest poznanie, w jaki sposób edukacja artystyczna jest realizowana w szkole oraz poza szkołą. Badania dotyczą kształtu i sposobu realizacji zajęć plastycznych, muzycznych i artystycznych oraz innych dodatkowych aktywności oscylujących wokół dziedzin artystycznych. Celem tej pracy jest udzielenie odpowiedzi na pytanie „Jak w dniu dzisiejszym realizowana jest edukacja artystyczna w szkole gimnazjalnej?”. Celem badań było także zweryfikowanie nastrojów uczniów, ich oczekiwań i zmartwień, zestawiając to z wymaganiami i problemami nauczycieli. Badania objęły ponadto samo funkcjonowanie szkoły: podział godzinowy, dostępne zaplecze oraz jakie szanse a jakie problemy wynikają z położenia szkoły i dostępności do dóbr kulturowych. Efektem badań jest szereg obserwacji, które można sprowadzić do następujących czterech dziedzin problemowych: 1. infrastruktura, dostępne zaplecza i pomoce dydaktyczne; 2. kadra nauczycielska i jej kwalifikacje; 3. uczniowie, ich świadomość i motywacja; 4. stan organizacyjny i finansowy systemu szkolnictwa.

The purpose of this thesis is to inquire upon the method of implementation of artistic education in schools and within the scope of extracurricular activities. The research takes into consideration the form and method of realization of plastic, musical and artistic activities as well as other pedagogical events related to the artistic domain. The goal of this thesis is to answer the question: "How is contemporary artistic education performed on the gymnasium level?". Another goal is to verify the state of expectation of pupils, their satisfaction and worries, in comparison with the expectations and problems of the teachers. The research also encompasses the functioning of the school: the schedule, the infrastructure and the chances and problems resulting from the localization and access to cultural goods. The effect of the research is a number of observations, which can be reduced to four subdomains: 1. infrastructure and access to auxiliary devices; 2. pedagogical team and its qualifications; 3. pupils, their consciousness and motivation; 4. organizational and financial state of the school system.
